As Generation 9/11 approaches 30, is Hollywood trying to make once classic movies into remakes? For example, Superman. I remember idolizing Christopher Reeve as a young kid and got to see the remake and still idolized Christopher Reeve (Insert Laugh). So now that hollywood tested Superman, they are now remaking it, just so they get it right. Is that to make sure a new generation will idolize this new guy as opposed to generation 9/11 idolizing Christopher Reeve?|||I'm not entirely sure what you are getting at.
Hollywood has been remaking films for decades. For instance, "A Star is Born" was made in 1937, remade in 1954, remade again in 1976, and there are rumors it will be remade once more in a year or two.
Wizard of Oz and The Maltese Falcon, the versions everyone knows, were both second or third attempts on the original novel.
This is nothing new and it's certainly not secret. It's very well-known.|||Like the other answer said, remakes are nothing new. In this case the large number of remakes or adaptations of things that are already very well known are just the current trend in Hollywood. Hollywood (and other places) always go through trends, whether it be Westerns, or heist movies, etc. This trend just happens to be remakes and adaptations of things with well established fan bases.
Also, it's not a secret. Everybody is aware of remakes.|||Hollywood has always done this. If they get hold of a good idea or plot they like to use it again. Even "True Grit" was recycled but it wasn't secret.|||No secret dude. And you are spot on.|||sex
