Is it easier to become an actress in Hollywood films or on Broadway plays?

Just out of curiosity. It seems to me it would be easier to make it on Broadway because there aren't as many people interested in it, as opposed to being on movies and TV shows in Hollywood. But hey, I'm no expert.|||They are both very difficult and a lot of actors are very interested in Broadway plays. The reason you don't think many actors are interested is because unlike a film which opens nationwide, a Broadway plays on Broadway only so unless you travel to NYC, you are not exposed to it.. There are also national tours of Broadway plays and musicals.

Because of the high financial stakes for producers on Broadway these days, it can be as if not more difficult to get a shot or succeed. Broadway producers want name actors and many name actors from Hollywood don't always have the singing and dancing skills that are required for Broadway which narrows the pool considerably.|||I would think so, too. But then again, for Broadway you have to be able to sing and dance, too. Plus, you have to get everything right for each performance. You don't get retakes. I don't know...
