If you were an actor, would you work in Hollywood or pursue an alternative?

The reason I ask is I think Hollywood isn't necessary. All that glamor and glitz, the overdone blockbusters, the celebrities. I think its totally unnecessary. People need to find forms of entertainment that are just down-to-earth.|||I am an acting student, and I certainly have no desire to go to Hollywood or even Broadway. As long as I will be able to find a way to be employed and do what I love for the rest of my life, I'll be happy. I would love to work at a regional theatre or at some up-and-coming experimental theatre company. I am far more interested in creating valuable art than becoming famous. Honestly.|||Well, working in Hollywood (Los Angeles) is not much different from working for Hollywood in some other state. Most "Hollywood" actors don't live in "Hollywood". but in nearby cities and some in other states, but these are the few you have made it. I think when an actor is ready, he goes to LA.|||Yes, there are so many alternatives to get exposure and fame. Includes the TV series etc. Yet I would say being a Hollywood star is something unique which holds so much attention and glamour. Nothing like it.
