I'm an advertising%26amp; PR major student in Asia. I'm prett interested in movie marketing. How can I get a job in Hollywood and get it started?|||You'll need to start as either an intern (totally unpaid) or in a very, very low-paying ($500/week) assistant job. That's the reality, especially if you're right out of college. There are always going to be people here who are willing to work for nothing to pursue a dream (and not just in acting), so you have to be willing to 'pay your dues' in a ridiculously underpaid position for a while to be able to showcase your talents and drive to someone who then might have an entry-level position available in the future.
The 2nd option is to be related to someone out here who can hire you, but even that isn't fool-proof!
Good luck!|||Stand on the corner in High heels....you'll get offers. (whether your a man or woman don't matter|||American Idol, duh!|||if you just want a job, there are plenty there i'm sure, minimum wage jobs are always there|||ROFLMAO!!!!!! Too funny "imdumm2", and not far from the truth ;)|||Perhaps your idea of working in Hollywood is a little different than reality- but if you really want to, there are many marketing agencies in the Los Angeles area that you could apply to.
And the all the major studios have in-house marketing departments.
Of course knowing someone really helps-- like anywhere.

Since Craigslist, allows free job postings, many smaller companies post their vacancies on this online classifieds website. You can also search for jobs from multiple websites using aggregators like SimplyHired and Indeed. Referrals are also becoming a increasingly popular way to get hired.
