Why is hollywood so rich and has so much money, where as other film companies (outside hollywood) have less?

The other companies have no less overall talent. Look at slumdog millionaire for instance. So why do we mostly only see hollywood movies in the mainstream cinema?|||if you have ever been there you would understand its not hollywood its all if california movies are shot no snow all the attractions beaches theme parks sunset strip all the clubs for the night life movie studios that have been there for ever it really is a great place to visit hollywood is were it all started|||cause hollywood keeps so many of the profits they dry upall the profits and e make the proceeds look so hidden they seem like liability.


And they can make even the most profitable films lok like box office


viral videos. and since they control the film rights they will make a profit into a loss as fast a making a ssure starr hit into a slumdog.\


\in one fell sweepm make the profits seem like the dog they wish it to be associated with. just rename the films class and wait for the box to flop.


cheers|||U cannot say that hollywood is rich. Bollywood is also very rich. And IPL is its example.|||because Hollywood is mainstream, The movie Slumdog Millionaire is an independent film. Most independent films are better than hollywood films.|||I agree with a lot of the other comments just wanted to point out that slumdog millionaire really isn't an indy movie, it's just British.|||because where do you think all the ticket sales for movies go?
