How long does it take before Hollywood turns into an "explicit p*rno" producer?

Well, nowadays in almost every hollywood film there are s*x scenes included (certainly to attract more audience), and the scenes are getting more and more explicit as we go on.

I'm just wondering how much does it take before the producers resort to using famous celebrities for completely explicit p*rno to attract more movie-watchers!|||I really hate movies with sex scenes... They bring nothing into the movie, really!

If you want to being romance, some kissing and cuddling and good dialogue will do.

Dont get me wrong, I'm in full support of P*rn, but it has its own place, If I want to watch P*rn i'll do so by myself, I don't want it in a movie. IMO, its as stupid as going to a strip club.

Ironically, movies with sex scenes are 98% of the time horrible. And the select few who refuse to have them are usually good.

As someone said above, Slumdog is an example.

Back to your question, I think that will not happen anytime soon. Hollywood, although Democratic, wants to please Republicans as well. So making porn is a bit too much. Anyway, there is no need for Hollywood to make porn. Why would they? The money involved is insignificant compared to blockbusters, the budget required is pretty much nothing and no actor/producer/director in Hollywood likes to risk his or her career in a porn film.

Remember, everytime a film becomes too explicit, there is a huge backlash, usually.

Then again, long stupid sex scenes are as absurd as current Iranian cinema were you can't even hug your "mother" on a film.|||Their are plenty of movies without sex scenes in them. And the ones that do have them are pretty kosher.

A very select group of movies have fairly explicit sex scenes. These movies are aimed at a specific audience that apparently is not you.

Movie Producers will do anything to make more money. It's the biz. Sex sells.|||What the hell are you talking about?

This has been going on since the sixties, move on all ready. Here's the list of Best picture nominees from 2004 to 2007 there's about four which have had sex in them. If anything, we've improved since the seventies. I hate to flout this uncomfortable knowledge to you when your parents should have, but Sexual intercourse is a beautiful part of the human condition. It's the act of creating intimacy and perhaps even life. Why arn't you bitching about killing?

2007: "Atonement," "Juno," "Michael Clayton," "No Country for Old Men," "There Will Be Blood"

2006: "THE DEPARTED," "Babel,""Letters From Iwo Jima," "Little Miss Sunshine," "The Queen"

2005: "CRASH," "Brokeback Mountain," "Capote," "Good Night, and Good Luck," "Munich"

2004: "MILLION DOLLAR BABY," "The Aviator," "Finding Neverland," "Ray," "Sideways"|||Destroyed moral values

Simple minded actors/ actress's who are ready to do everything for money

Poor people who spend their time watching these toys.

It's getting more horrible year by year. I think in near future the proper name for 'human' would be 'smart-modern animal'.|||I believe s3x scenes are attractive in the movies for both genre, but attraction varies and s3x gets disgusting after a while...|||The problem is that Western culture does not accept movies w/o sex scenes. They won't sell. It will get worse :-)
