If there was an extraordinarily clear day, would it be possible from any vantage point in Forest Lawn cemetery (Hollywood Hills) to get a glimpse of the Pacific? I have no idea about the terrain there, so have to ask those that would know. Thanks.|||No. But it's not a matter of distance, it's a matter of geography. At the Hollywood Hills cemetary, you have a mountain range between you and the ocean. In fact, the Hollywood sign is right on the other side of the ridge. If you don't mind climbing a barbed wire fence, you can hike for 20 minutes up the side of Mount Lee, and be 50 feet from the actual sign, and see the ocean on a clear day.
The Griffith Observatory, which is even further from the ocean, has ocean vistas on clear (and not-so-clear) days. It just happens to be on the south side of the mountain range, while the cemetary is on the north side.|||Seeing as it's around 20 miles to the ocean. No.|||Is that "above ground" or "below ground" where the other residents are?|||No, you can't. That's pretty close to where I live and the closest beach is like 30+ minutes away.|||Not Even close its next to Burbank side of the mountain NOT hollywood.|||nope sorry the tree's are very tall|||no u cant see it cause i been there and it was sunny and clear.. but i couldnt see ocean|||no, it's on the wrong side of the mountains. but you might see the verdugo mountains or pasadena on a clear day.|||Tiger Woods can.|||No,buildings and mountains block that view.|||wd|||No (I've been there)
