I found a great appartment in Hollywood, but it only offers street parking. I'm worried because I drive a nice car and I'm affraid something might happen to it. I can't make up my mind should I get the apartment or not? The appartment is on Fernwood ave, it is at the corner of St Andrews Pl and Sunset Blvd.|||Have you seen that place at night. Parking is almost impossible on the streets. You may have to walk a block to get home at night. Please don't let it rain.|||I wouldn't get an apartment in Hollywood to begin with.|||As a lifelong resident of Los Angeles who is very familiar with where this apartment is, I can tell you with no hesitation what so ever: DON'T DO IT.
If the apartment doesn't have parking that requires a remote to open the gate or if it isn't otherwise secured, don't move there. Yes, you'll hate it when it rains, but you'll also hate it more when you come out to the car and find that it's either a) gone because it got stolen, or b) broken into and all your stuff is gone or otherwise damaged.
BAD IDEA, my friend.|||you have no idea how shady hollywood is after dark.....
visit hollywood, but DON'T LIVE THERE. i'm safer here in the ghetto highland park. it's like 7 miles away.|||your car will get banged up and you will want to tear your hair out if you get home after 5pm when everyone has already landed and is afraid to move because the parking is hideous. even if you do manage to park no one will ever come to visit. you want designated parking, my friend.|||As all the peeps above have said, this is not a good idea...I don't even like driving through that area on the East side of the 101. Also you need to check out the noise factor as you are very close to the 101..|||No. Unless you want your car stolen/vandalized and want to walk half a mile to your car every morning.|||first of all hon that is not Hollywood that is more like Little Armenia. i sure as h-- wouldn't park a nice car there. nor would i move somewhere that claims to be Hollywood when it is in a really bad area. you need to do more homework.
