Why are all good movies done by Hollywood companies?

Why are the only decent movies done by companies in Hollywood? I do not mean the location of where they are shot I mean the companies that create the movies.|||The simple answer is: they're not. Hollywood films are just marketed better in America and Europe, meaning more people hear about them; there are plenty of better film industries than Hollywood that just don't market out of their countries, so no one hears about them. I understand where you're coming from - Hollywood films are generally more accessible from English speaking countries, but that doesn't mean they're neccesarily better films. In actuality, Hollywood make some of the worst films in the world; I don't mean that they're terrible films, but Hollywood's film companies have a horrible habit of reusing stories and ideas from films that have done well in others, meaning that there really isn't much difference between the films they keep releasing. In other film industries worldwide, that doesn't happen, and mostly all releases are original ideas or huge reworkings of other films. Take, for example, a romantic comedy released in Hollywood - the idea sells well, and it becomes a huge hit on its opening weekend. The next romantic comedy they release will be similar to it with some slight changes to character, plot and location because the film company knows that there's an audience for it; and it all comes down to profit.

You're entitled to your own opinion, and you don't have to change it regardless of what anyone says, but I suggest that you check out some foreign films and see whether you like them; despite the language barrier, they are quite easy to get into. I'm not a huge world cinema fan by any stretch of the imagination, and I don't like Japanese or Asian cinema because I'm not set-up to understand it (they use social ideals that are found in the countries that people understand and since I'm not from there, I wouldn't understand it) but Spanish and Mexican cinema is pretty good. Also, research Guillermo del Toro and other directors who have come from their native countries to work in Hollywood - they usually bring some of the flairs from their cinema into a Hollywood mould.|||There are films called independent films, or 'indies', that aren't financed by distributors, like many on this list (which is American, but there are others from other countries, like Matthew Vaughn financed Kick-As*) http://www.empireonline.com/features/50-鈥?/a>|||Do you know about movies done in other countries? There are some countries with very advanced film industries whose products you do not have access.
