I'm running for a city council seat in west hollywood, how do I start the process?

The city meetings on Mondays do not listen to the citzens of west hollywood, but these elected officials are re-elected over the years. We need to stop this, we need someone who cares about the city? What would be the best way to un-seat these city officials?|||West Hollywood, Ca is a city in itself. You need to protect the people who live in west hollywood and listen carefully to their wants and needs.

I agree with you, we need to re-seat each elected official on the city council. You can watch years of city council meetings and other meetings, they do not acknowledge their constituents' concerns at each meeting.

I would suggest knocking on each door in the city 2 or 4 times before the election. Listen to their concerns and tell them sincerely: Your concerns are my concerns, and I will make sure your voice is heard.

Your uphill battle is that the same people have re-elected them to the seat. You have to make them think: in 10 years, what has the current city council done to about your concerns? Show honesty and integrity, if you show this others will notice.|||I would imagine you visit your city office and first present your questions, then get a petition started regarding your concerns
