Does any 1 know any stupid ways to get into a hollywood film?
Can any 1 give me some funny way to get into a hollywood film that would probably get me into trouble if i tried?|||go in as a walk in extra. (anybody can do tht). Then when there in an important scene do a backflip and see if they like it, Which they probably wont but its worth a try. Theres also singing in the background etc.|||Pretend you are working for craft services (catering), sneak onto the set, then sneak yourself into one of the background scenes.|||Trying for your 15 minutes of fame? Which Apple store in the Hollywood area will be easiest/best to pick up iPhone 4 at?
I will be visiting and staying in Hollywood, CA on June 24 (iPhone 4 launch day) and will be pre-ordering my and my wife's iPhones so I can pick it up in store that day. Just wondering which Apple store has the best parking, easy in and out, maybe less busy, just overall which is the best store to pick up my iPhone 4. Any other comments that might help my Apple store decision in that area are welcome.|||Apple Store The Grove
189 The Grove Drive Los Angeles, CA 90036 (323) 965-8400
lots of parking around there (the parking garage also has valet parking if you self park
this garage also will tell what level to find parking on
B
Apple Store Beverly Center
8500 Beverly Boulevard, Suite #656 Los Angeles, CA 90048 (310) 289-7014
Beverly center parking okay but can be a tight on leaving the center
C
Apple Store Century City
10250 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90067 (310) 286-6820
the parking is okay but its enormous you can easy get lost in this underground parking
you probably have seem movies using a parking lot -this is the they used|||No such thing.
I can guarantee you that people are going to be lining up on that day to pick up the phone. The best you can do is wait.|||There isn't going to be much difference between the stores, but I'd go to The Grove, easier parking situation overall.
(I'm having our iphones delivered to our home. I'm hoping that Power Support protective film will be available by the time I get the iphones, gotta put it on right out of the box.)

Why are real British accents so different from the ones on Hollywood?
Wow, yesterday I saw the British version of 'The Office." I could only understand half the crap they were saying, at most. Eastenders is hard to understand, and so is Cornation Street. It's like you guys speak a whole new language. I'm sure you guys can understand us for the most part, because of our powerful media disseminated globally and all...
Why are your accents so different from the ones on Hollywood?|||It depends where in England you come from, there's so many English accents.|||There are many accents in Britain; not all of them are the same just like here in the USA there are southern accents, mid west accents and Boston accents and CA surfer/valley accents. In Britain you have the more cultured London accents, then you have the lower class Cockney accents and Liverpool etc and sometimes in movies, the actors are not British but putting on an accent and they're just not very good at it.|||Regional accents Baby! You could factor in local dialect too.
Same as in USA and rest of world - except of course on bigger (and better - not) scale with you.
Don't New Yorkers find it hard to identify with someone from Tennessee and generally feel superior to all Southerners, mocking their accents?|||Because we weren't all brought up in the posh end of London speaking the Queen's English. In most films that need somebody English, it's always people like Kate Winslet who get cast for it or they'll get Renee Zellwegger to do her posh royal accent. It's not reality. Nobody sounds like that. I bet you thought we all walked around with canes and wore top hats too didn't you?|||Hollywood paints this picture like every english person is posh they are not theres alot of accents and it depends on where you live in the uk if your up north you sound completley different from people living in london and vice versa and all over really but you have too remember that american learnt how too speak from us|||I have what they call a cockney accent kinda....becuz i was born and bred here my parents r from west africa...but my dad and mum have been here for decadez.

American actors have always found it difficult to copy British accents, although things have improved since Dick van Dyke in "Mary Poppins" but the fact is that for many years, Hollywood thought that there were only two English accents: "Anyone for tennis" - stupid upper class and "Righty Ho guv" - good working class cockney (Londoner)
For a small island we have a rich diversity of accents. I suspect that there is an element of wind-up in your question but if you expect us all to learn "English according to Hollywood", you are a few cents short of a dollar.

How much cost to get Hollywood smile in the UK?
Hi. How much cost to get white straight hollywood teeth and smile in the UK? Where is cheaper? Can I pay monthly? Is it interest free? Do You have maybe your own exeprience?where can I get more information? Thanks?|||The price for a veneer in the UK is supposedly GBP 263-624 with an average of GBP 444.
The price for a veneer in Hungary is from GBP 180 and upwards. On top comes the trip and stay, but you do not need a lot of work done before the savings can pay for the travel.
I have to correct Helen S, because Hungarian dentist and technicians have nothing to do with America. The crowns, veneers, implants, etc. used are exactly the same as are being used in Western Europe, so primarily manufactured by Swedish, German, and Swiss companies.
Hungarian dentists and technicians are qualified on Hungarian universities. The Hungarian medical universities are famous for their academic achievements and levels of scholarship and every year several hundred Germans, Norwegians and other European nationals leave Hungary with a doctor's degree in dentistry, human medicine, or veterinary medicine or with an education as hospital nurse.
Every year 8-10,000 dental patients from all over Europe leave Hungary with dental work done here, most of them with a better treatment than they would have been able to afford at home.|||Look at the dental section in your yellow pages book - there will be plenty of these people listed in there. My youngest son has just had a quote to have 2 teeth removed, a lower jaw brace and four Porcelain veneers for his top front teeth of 拢7K. It cost 拢50 for the check up and estimate. I understand you could get this for a third of the price in Hungary and that they also are American trained technicians using American Veneers, however, i have yet to see anything in the papers about their results - then again - who is going to be advertising the fact that they had horrid teeth to start with? Good luck!|||bloody hell, expensive. If you want a good set of porcelain veneers you are talking at least 拢800 per tooth. Fake implants cost more, for each tooth. You can get veneers for 拢295 each at my dentist but they look like false teeth. If i were you i wouldn't bother unless your teeth are hideous (profound discolouring).|||Yuk.
If you want to look like you have false teeth then go on and do it.
On the other hand, if you want to look interesting and natural then don't waste your money.|||cost me 46.000 but well worth it im a actor so i needed amazing teeth|||a lot

How would I go about investing in an A type Hollywood movie?
If I want to invest say $20,000 into an A type Hollywood movie how do I go about do that? Is it even possible?|||There are some limited partnerships for movies made by, say, people like Seth Rogen.
That gets really dicey, and you cannot get into the top movies that way.
Investing in large studios is a much easier way to do it, but you are one step removed from the process and the risk is watered down.
It used to be done alot from the mid1980s to the mid1990s. Directors and producers would get together for say, 4 films, and they would go looking for partners to finance those films. Then the investors would get a return based on how well all four did. For that reason, you used to see several movies come out one after another from the same director/producer combo.
I can say categorically that you will not be able to buy into an A class movie with 20k. You will have to take more risk, or buy shares of a studio.
Good luck.
By the way. Funny you asked. Spike Lee came out 20 years ago THIS WEEK with DO THE RIGHT THING. Rumor has it that he borrowed about 25k on a credit card to make the movie. It was a huge hit and made him an instant millionaire. Huge risk. Huge reward. Consider making your own movies if you are so inclined.

Why are all the hollywood celebs joining the Tea party? Are liberals sad the Tea Party has all the cool people?
How do liberals feel about A-List hollywood movie stars such as Jon Voight and Kelsey Grammar being members of the Tea party? These are people the kids can relate to and consider "what's in." We will be taking the youth vote away from you very shortly. How do liberals feel about the mass exodus of celebrities from their party to join the Tea Party?|||Jon Voight whose family wouldn't talk to for years and Kelsey Grammer who can't come out of the closet long enough to hold onto a wife, These are real great role models for the tea party.|||I looked up the Beverly Hills Tea Party or whatever it's called and it's mostly actors I've never heard of. The shows they star in look pretty bland and seem to lack in substance.
I'm not a Jon Voight fan. It's his daughter I like.

I bought Fredericks of Hollywood corsets online, and im wondering if anyone knows what the boneing is?
ok so i bought 'Ultimate Satin Corset' and 'New Hollywood WAist Cincher' and i kind of guessed that they won't be steel boned, but i was wondering if anyone knows what the quality of them are and how tight you can make them without looking ridiculous. They were between 25 and 70 $$ Canadian sooo anyone know/ bought them?|||Fredericks' corset are corset in name only, they are not a real corset.
This is not to bag them, they make some nice clothes. But the corset range is designed to look like a corset without the heavy construction required to cinch you in like a real corset. As such I would suspect that the boning is plastic and the stitching etc is designed to fit firmly, not tightly. This is confirmed by this quote from there website
"Our corsets are not designed to train your waist. Initially pulling too tightly can cause damage to the grommets in your corset."

|||I've bought a few corsets from Fredericks, and the boning is usually some type of hard plastic. They are usually beautiful, but don't rely on them to cinch you in like a real corset would. And unless you have a big chest, you'll probably have to wear a bra underneath. I can tell you for a fact that's what the models do. I had a friend that worked there, and showed me how in some pictures they send to the store you can see the bra straps before they were photoshopped out.
I would recommend them only if it's for going out or fun with your lover. Not for special occasions.
I rate them, 3.5 out of 5. Mostly for looks.
If you are curious to see what they really look on a normal person send me an e-mail and I can take a pic real fast for you.

Is Hollywood a good place to raise your children?
It seems like it is not. I just watched yesterday the E!story of the formers child actors that starred one famous tv show and their stories were really sad. It seems like fame make kids get in terrible troubles that's why I don't think that Hollywood is a good place to raise your children. Hollywood seems to be a corrupt world.|||almost any place is a good place to raise a child. the most important thing is that you are a good, loving parent who is prepared to help them through anything, and to help teach them right or wrong,|||My friend anyone could live in any place of the world but that depends on the parents on how they raise there childrens... For example if you raise your child (if you have one) in hollywood you could teach everything to your child... but in school they could learn bad habits...|||We are in a world, one where there is good and the bad.
When we want someone good we wish at all costs, no matter what happens, and if your want your kids really the best world to raise them is yours. And I think that your these here. Then let them live their world and lives yours.

Ideally an address or park name or cross streets, etc.... Thanks!|||I just saw a tv show where a guy proposed to his girlfriend below the sign.
You can't get to the sign, it's fenced off. But you can get close. Check the Griffith park website for the hiking trails.

Why do women in Hollywood have such soft looking hair?

Can you see the ocean from Forest Lawn cemetery in Hollywood?
If there was an extraordinarily clear day, would it be possible from any vantage point in Forest Lawn cemetery (Hollywood Hills) to get a glimpse of the Pacific? I have no idea about the terrain there, so have to ask those that would know. Thanks.|||No. But it's not a matter of distance, it's a matter of geography. At the Hollywood Hills cemetary, you have a mountain range between you and the ocean. In fact, the Hollywood sign is right on the other side of the ridge. If you don't mind climbing a barbed wire fence, you can hike for 20 minutes up the side of Mount Lee, and be 50 feet from the actual sign, and see the ocean on a clear day.
The Griffith Observatory, which is even further from the ocean, has ocean vistas on clear (and not-so-clear) days. Who thinks that Becoming Jane was not the best hollywood could do for Jane Austen?
I know Hollywood has to add its touch to their products, but her life was good enough to not change anything.|||Actually, I think Becoming Jane WAS probably the best the present Hollywood could do! By that I mean it could have been MUCH worse. Think about it: they could have turned Jane Austen into a man-hating rebel who had a secret affair with Ann Radcliffe after having an affair with a married man and giving birth to his child. It makes one shudder to think what they might have done.
I admit that I rather enjoyed the movie - I haven't read the book - even though they made more of Tom Lefroy then there was and changed the way Jane would have behaved.
I just wish they would at least keep in mind the times instead of giving the people at the time modern sensibilities and behaviors. It would be nice if they would be true to the way people behaved then (Jane would never have considered running away with a man, for instance) and the morals of the times (men and women didn't even kiss before marriage). THAT was a big part of the problem I had with the Keira Knightley Pride and Prejudice.|||I don't think they changed anything. I know that she never married and that was supposedly in love with that man (the james mcavoy character) but they never married. Also, her close relationship with her own sister is what Jane and Elizabeth was based off of. I liked the movie overall, not a huge Anne H. fan though|||I don't know what they changed, because I haven't studied her, but it seemed like they didn't change much, because her book was based off her life, and Becoming Jane was almost the exact same as the Pride and Prejudice movies.|||Oh not the best - but it was ok. I mean, I liked it and didn't hate it. If I had never seen it I think that would have been ok so maybe it was bad. LOL.
I did like Anne Hathaway as Jane, though. I think that was well cast.|||I was so disappointed with that movie... I was expecting something like Pride and Prejudice (not the story line, but the scenery and acting, etc) but couldn't believe how cheesy Becoming Jane was.|||I watched the movie and didn't really like it|||Honestly, I didn't bother with it.

Is there a penalty against actually going to the hollywood sign?
What is the worst thing that will happen if i go to the hollywood sign, since it is fenced off to the public, and there is always patrol guards watching if there are any trespassers?|||If you hop the fence and trash or tag them, you could spend up to 6 months in jail for trespassing and vandalism, plus have to pay 100% of the cost of any damage or repainting, plus fines. Those things are expensive to maintain.
If you stay outside the fence, they will just keep an eye on you.

Do you think Hollywood tricks teans into getting pregnant?
Do you think Hollywood movies actually tricks tean girls into getting pregnant? Why or why not?
Do you also think that marriage should be taken more seriously if there is a child involved? I personally think that if two people have a child together, they should strongly consider getting married. There are too many children who are fatherless and motherless and too many step families in the United States. People do not take marriage seriously enough. What do you think?|||1. If a kid is that stupid to let "hollywood trick them into teen pregnancy", then that kid is a moron to begin with.
2.Marriage has nothing to do with parenting.Marriage is nothing but a legalized ceremony.I am unmarried, with my children's father and it's been that day since day 1.Marriage wouldn't change any aspect of it.
3. A child becomes motherless or fatherless because the mother or father CHOSE for it to be that way.Marriage wouldn't change that. There are people who are married and one spouse decides to leave the family never to return again.

I think marriage should be taken seriously. I think your vows are a serious thing, but no one takes them seriously anymore. And I think the divorce rate is ridiculous. Don't get married unless you are ready for it.
I do not think that parents need to get married when they have children. I think as long as the parents are happy and the kids live in a safe and stable environment that's what's important.

Is anyone else tired of Hollywood making every comic superhero on the planet into a movie?

How do you send a video to a hollywood producer?
many actors sent a video to a hollywood producer, and after that, they became an actor/actress
So the question is where can i send a video? which web?|||Cogito's right, no one ever did this! Don't know where you got that idea from. Films employ casting directors who contact professional agents and arrange auditions based on their requirements. You're barking up the wrong tree.
All the best.|||No they didn't. Producers aren't interested in looking at odd videos sent through the post or via the internet. If they receive any, their secretaries dump them.
The only way to become an actor is by having loads of natural talent, then getting a really good training - ideally three years full-time at a top drama school, then gaining experience (unpaid) and then trying to get an agent, who if you're lucky will get you auditions.
No-one in the film industry is interested in beginners or untrained amateurs.
Why would they be?
They have thousands of really good, well-trained and very experienced actors to choose from already.
Becoming an actor takes years of hard work.|||that's not how it works. you won't get anywhere sending anything to a producer. most of the actors out there have been acting for years. they didn't just send a tape somewhere and then all of a sudden become known. you need to per sue this the old fashioned way. be in the right place, get training, experience an agent and go on calls till you get work. once in a great, great while there is some Cinderella acting story, but there is usually a lot more to the stories than you hear about.

How well can you see performers from the superseats (J1 row 20) at the Hollywood Bowl?

Where can I find a good, authentic menu from the 40s for an Old Hollywood themed wedding?
We're having a 40s Old Hollywood theme for our wedding, we're having it in an old theater and everyone will be dressing the part! Now we just have to figure out a menu. I want it to be formal but also to fit in with the 40s theme...any ideas?|||I would just have a nice wholesome menu. Obviously, back then they didn't do anything out of the ordinary. I would just go with a baked ham; baked turkey; mashed potatoes; a few veggie choices; rolls; etc.
You should read some articles about authentic 1940's weddings and/or talk with some older people! Back then, the weddings were very simple due to the war. Food and fabric was rationed. Many couples were married in a church (or the pastor's office) and then returned home to the bride's parent's home for a simple cake and punch reception (or had it at the church.)
Here is one article:
http://www.favorideas.com/wedding-themes鈥?/a>|||Gosh - I don't know - When I think of food from the 1940s, I think of WWII and food rationing, and prior to the start of the war, I think of the Depression - I guess I can't reconcile that with a formal fancy menu.|||When I read that answer, I thought of Spam. Maybe powdered eggs. But I will be looking because I think this is an interesting question.

How much money is Yahoo getting paid by Hollywood to keep showing Angelina Jolie as a top story? Isn't it->?
Getting sickening already? Why do they keep treating her as if she's the 2nd coming of Jesus? Who cares if they showed her reacting during Jennifer Aniston's presentation? She is the biggest phony that Hollywood has ever produced.|||As Dr. Evil would say 1 Billion Dolllars lol, they're doing it because no one notices her terrible acting, and she wants the attention, I bet her father Jon Voight is even sick of seeing her lol.|||There's no such thing as "bad publicity". How Come People Never Talk About The Overrepresentation Of Blacks And Italian Americans In Hollywood?
Jews aren't the only group that are overrepresented in Hollywood. Go to wikipedia and search for list of Italian American actors, and it is a HUGE list of people even though Italian Americans make up only 6% of the U.S population. And the same for Blacks, there is a HUGE list of Black actors even though they make up only 13% of the U.S population.|||.. and blacks in sports.. no one ever says a word about that!|||I agree, there are no White Anglo-Saxons in movies %26amp; TV shows, and it's just too easy for Blacks to get Hollywood deals. They're in all the Blockbusters. I just watched Harry Potter and Inception - didn't see one White person in there but it was filled with Blacks.
You are right, Blonde haired White women can't get deals in Hollywood, but Black women make up about about 90% of the female roles.|||I'm not upset over the over representation of Blacks, but the misrepresentation of History due to a lawsuit that force movie industries to hire more African Americans. It's bad enough that they shop up on period pieces set in Europe, but they make it look like there was no discrimination during Vietnam war.

At a hollywood undead concert, is it possible to avoid mosh pits and what not?
I want to go up near the stage at a hollywood undead concert, but I don't know if it is safe. First of all, is it safe to go up near the stage? Second, is it possible to avoid mosh pits if one breaks out?|||if you are at the front you will only feel the pushing from it but if yu are trying to push your way to the front you might make people think that you want to mosh %26amp; you might start a mosh pit so be careful|||Another firstyyy.
It CAN be dangerous by the front, but its best for staying away from mosh pits.
But there mosh pits are AMAZING!!!
|||Don't be worried about moshes. Just part of the music, most moshes aren't to bad. If you get knocked down, most people will help you up. Just stay to the edges of the mosh if you don't want to be in it.
|||Assuming the music is aggressive and the venue has a "pit" where people stand and dance/mosh/crowdsurf, you are taking a big risk by moving to the near-stage area.
In almost all the aggressive concerts I've been to there's usually a big push towards the stage where people can easily get crushed or suffocated.
To answer the 2nd, if a pit breaks out it is typically not too hard to make your way out of it. Most decent "pit-ers" will not bother you. However some folks get carried away and consider you fair game.
If you are worried for bodily harm, your best bet is to stay in the seating area.|||Absolutely, I went to one of their shows last December and the mosh pit is only front CENTER. I was in the very very front touching the stage, but a bit to the left, and I was totally fine. The only thing you have to worry about it the band members jumping off into the crowd haha, but you'll be fine.

What is a good website to read and find information about movies that are not from the big hollywood studios?
I mean movies that are not common. Or independent films?
I'm tired of hollywood big movies! And want to try something completely different!|||Usually Roger Eberts webpage has reviews of the smaller and independent films.
http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/
If you know the name of the film or someone who is in it, you can do a search on the internet movie database at www.imdb.com
If you have cable TV, there is an Independent Film Channel, sometimes called IFC where you can see many indie films. The Sundance channel also has indie films.
A little warning. There are some truely great Indie films like Pan's Labyrinth, Slumdog Millionaire but there are some god awful ones like The Human Caterpillar so look around for the movie synopsizes carefully. z

Why does Hollywood never make any great movies about Jesus?
They make movies of such trivial and inane things, but they never marshal their vast production resources to create true masterpieces that glorify God. That is what is appalling and should be appalling to all.
I call on all people to boycott Hollywood effective immediately.|||I enjoyed the movie "Joshua". It was based on a series of rather good books. When did actors have the hardest time in Hollywood?
It looks virtually impossible to get into Hollywood these days, and the audience expects perfection, but I've heard horror stories about how hard it was once you got there back in the 30s. (For example, Judy Garland and her drug problems) Because of special effects nowdays, back then, there was a bigger demand for perfection from the performers.
What do you think?|||The actors had the hardest time around late 20s until the end of WWII. Most of them were kids actors and lived no actual childhood. Thus they had to cope with many psychological problems and addictions from young age. For example Judy Garland, Mickey Rooney and other young performers were constantly given amphetamines, as well as barbiturates to take before bed. For Garland, this regular dose of drugs led to addiction and a lifelong struggle, and contributed to her eventual demise. She later resented the hectic schedule and felt that her youth had been stolen from her by MGM. During the WWII Hollywood had hard financial times along with the existing problems due to the non existing technology that helped later the productions.

What time period most influenced Disney's Hollywood Studios?
It seems very vintage and old fashion, but what time period in Hollywood do you think most influnced the park? I have heard the 30's many times.|||Disney's Hollywood Studios is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort. Spanning 135 acres in size, its theme is show business, drawing inspiration from the heyday of Hollywood in the 1930s and 1940s.

released on November 13,1940.
The Great Movie ride has the classic movies

The Wizard of Oz, Cassablanca and goes on to

Universal Studios Hollywood Front of Line pass on Saturday in April?
Four of use are going to Universal Studios in Hollywood on Saturday, April 9th. All of us are not interested in the rides, Jurassic, Mummy or Simpsons, since we are all scared. But we would love to see all the shows and studio tour, and leave the studios by 2 or 3pm. Our time in LA is really limited. We are planning to be there by 9am.
Should we buy front of line pass?|||Just a quick note: Do you mean Saturday (Apr. 4) or Thursday (Apr. 9)?
As someone who has worked there for the past 4 years, I'd recommend getting the FOL pass, especially since you are leaving the park so early. Doing the math for all the shows plus the Studio Tour, it will take about 3 hours to finish everything. This does not include walking in the park, waiting for those shows, or eating lunch. So with only about 5 hours to yourselves, you'd be really rushing it through the park. April 4 is the start of our peak season and, as it has been for the past few years, the Spring Break peak season feels a lot like the Summer peak season so wait times would be upwards of 15 minutes. In fact, the last few Saturdays here at USH have been a bit crowded.
On another note, do you ever plan on returning to USH? If you're nearby, you could always come back and see the shows that you missed last time, thus possibly negate the need to buy a FOL pass.
The math if you're curious (duration in parentheses in minutes):
Waterworld (20 to 25)
T2-3D (30)
shrek (15 to 20)
Studio Tour (45)
Animal Actors (15)
Special Effects Stages (30)
Blues Brothers (10)
Backdraft (20)
Total (minimum): 185 minutes (3.08 hours)
USH Tip: Pick up a show schedule! Doing so would help you plan your day accordingly. There's also a little note on it that recommends you show up at least 20 minutes before show time. I'd take this note a bit seriously, but recommend 10 to 15 minutes before instead of 20 (10 minutes if you have the FOL pass). This helps to ensure that you get into the show (unless the show gets full before showtime :( it happens sometimes). Shows in closed venues, especially Terminator, will close the doors at the time the show is scheduled to start.
Hope you enjoy your trip!|||YES! Like you explained, your time is veryy limited (esp. at these kinds of events). Because you're not interested in the rides and such, you deserve the best in shows! It includes all-day admission and there's only a limited supply so hurry!|||Nah, not worth it if you aren't going on the rides.

What if Hollywood remade all of the Judy Garland movies with Lindsay Lohan?
Just so people understand, this is not intended as a serious question in any way. :)
Seeing as how Hollywood has continued to churn out remakes of classic films...how horrified would you be if all of Judy Garland's films were remade with Lindsay Lohan, beginning with the "Wizard Of Oz"?
Could you imagine Lindsay as Dorothy?|||I would hunt down the producers and directors of those remakes and set them on fire! all the while singing Judy's classics like Good Mornin' and Somewhere Over the Rainbow|||Why not Lindsey? Judy Garland had a huge drinking and drug problem also and seemed to be OK in the movies.|||Isn't there about 10 different versions of the Wizard of Oz?|||that would be like recasting shirley temple with someone today
they just dont fit|||omg, like please don't even mention that! If that EVER! happens. I shall hunt down the filmmakers of the remake and kill them XD|||please be real. If you going to get someone to play Dorothy then you are barking up the wrong tree.I think Jennifer Love Hewitt will make a great Dorothy . age don,t matter|||Drunk Dorothy on coke. Interesting. And horrible.|||It actually wouldn't be the WORST thing in the world unlike every one above me ^^ seems to be saying. Roles such as Jenny Bowman in Judy's last film "I Could Go ON Singing" would be Absolutely perfect for Lindsay and I would look forward to seeing it if some risky director ever decided to remake that film. (And on another note, I saw the Wizard of oz special 70th anniversary hi def event, IT WAS BULL! tHE QUALITY WAS terrible AND SO NOT IN HI DEFINITION, AND IT LOOKED TERRIBLE ON THE BIG SCREEN. oR THE MEDIUM SCREEN i SHOULD SAY CONSIDERING IT DIDN'T EVEN TAKE UP THE WHOLE MOVIE THEATER SCREEN.)
This is like the third time I've answered a question about the comparing of Judy and Lindsay and Lindsay playing Judy. Was their some big new story on The Insider or an article I missed? 0_o

Is it easier to become an actress in Hollywood films or on Broadway plays?
Just out of curiosity. It seems to me it would be easier to make it on Broadway because there aren't as many people interested in it, as opposed to being on movies and TV shows in Hollywood. But hey, I'm no expert.|||They are both very difficult and a lot of actors are very interested in Broadway plays. The reason you don't think many actors are interested is because unlike a film which opens nationwide, a Broadway plays on Broadway only so unless you travel to NYC, you are not exposed to it.. There are also national tours of Broadway plays and musicals.
Because of the high financial stakes for producers on Broadway these days, it can be as if not more difficult to get a shot or succeed. Broadway producers want name actors and many name actors from Hollywood don't always have the singing and dancing skills that are required for Broadway which narrows the pool considerably.|||I would think so, too. But then again, for Broadway you have to be able to sing and dance, too. Plus, you have to get everything right for each performance. You don't get retakes. I don't know...

Why does Hollywood portray cops as severe criminals when that is not reality?
There are so many movies involving police corruption. Some off of the top of my head, (An Innocent Man, Above the Law, Walking Tall, Ransom, Training Day, and American Gangster, which said 75% of the drug enforcement agency was convicted of drug bribes which is completely false). Being involved in real-life scenarios, whether you love or hate cops, they are honorable and law-abiding 99.9% of the time. Why does Hollywood always portray them as the bad guys? Hatred and for good ratings?|||Same reason they mock everything that is good. They are despicable people with money.|||Because there hollywood. Nothing is real and they think it is....
What were long-term effects of Red Scare Hollywood Blacklisting that made it a turning point in film history?
What effects, on film, the entertainment industry, or otherwise, were the result of Hollywood Blacklisting during the McCarthy Era (HUAC)? How did this change film/the industry and serve as a turning point in film history?|||Well for one thing it deeply censored the films that were being made. The films began to attain very little progressive tendencies and even lost alot of symbolic influence. The films being made became those that supported the American ideals of Democracy etc.
Another issue involved the accusations of many film stars that they were "Communists" such as Lucille Ball who was even accused for simply having red hair!

Thanks guys!!!!|||Well, before you even get NEAR Hollywood (or New York) you will need to make a resume and get professional photos done. The photos are $700+, but you can make your own resume.
Look up examples on Google.
You need to start at the bottom and work up to the top!
You can't just randomly decide to do a movie, no offence.
They don't take inexpierenced actors.
Start at school plays and community theater, that looks good on resumes.
Hope I helped!|||http://extracasting.blogspot.c鈥?/a>

Is Hollywood supporting everything that is not entirely beneficial for it?
It's a tuff life out there. Everyone wants to be president of a large company, at some point. That's the dream of every Hollywood actor as age catches up.
